The beginning of the workshop was discussing the present and the feedback gathered on blue sticky notes, which can be seen on the Group boards.
As part of this section, participants were asked to give details of a successful project that they had helped to deliver. This allowed us to gather interesting and useful information about 28 projects that can be used to help others in rural Scotland.
The projects have been gathered in a searchable directory.
The workshop went on to discuss what the future might look like: the good (heaven – green sticky notes on the Group boards) and the bad (hell – orange sticky notes on the Group boards). Then groups went on to work backwards to identify the paths that would need to be taken to ensure rural Scotland ends up in rural development heaven and does not end up in rural hell, including the pitfalls or bottlenecks that might be encountered.
